We only want an election of Ghanaian people who are entitled to vote,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The NPP at a media briefing on Tuesday stated that about <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/08\/18\/about-80000-togolese-are-in-ghanas-voters-register-bawumia\/\">80000 Togolese nationals<\/a><\/strong><\/span> have been registered in the voter\u2019s register.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to them, these instances among others strengthen\u00a0their calls for a revision of the voter\u2019s register in the build up to the 2016 general elections.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nana Addo further stated that the party will not <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/08\/05\/npp-lobbies-smaller-parties-for-new-voters-register\/\" target=\"_blank\">rescind<\/a><\/span> in its quest to get the voters register revised,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The NPP will continue to agitate peacefully, and advocate for a new voters&#8217; register for 2016. At the end of the day, the Electoral Commission will have to look at our evidence, do what is right, and do what the people of Ghana are demanding,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Commenting on the <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/01\/06\/voters-register-most-credible-since-independence-ndc\/\">responses<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>by the governing NDC, Akufo-Addo noted that the party will not be perturbed by the actions of the NDC stating that all the NPP wanted was a register that is fit for purpose.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u201cWe don&#8217;t want an &#8216;ECOWAS register\u2019\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meanwhile Nana Addo says he is optimistic of his win in the 2016 elections despite acknowledging that President Mahama is preoccupied with<strong><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/08\/12\/govt-will-not-overspend-in-election-year-mahama\/\" target=\"_blank\"> working<\/a> <\/span><\/strong>to attain the same purpose.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nana Akufo-Addo also urged NPP members to refrain from airing their grievances in the media, stressing that \u201ceven if an NPP member insults me, don&#8217;t retaliate.
