A Labor analyst Seth Aboloso, has asked government to cease all negotiations with the Ghana Medical Association(GMA) as it is not\u00a0the right institution to negotiate with the\u00a0striking doctors<\/a>.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n According to him, \u00a0the Ghana Health Service (GHS) which is the immediate employer of doctors should rather be negotiating with the doctors.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”CWPOgRtOES7nm7BKFJNe7sOHF5s0glAE”]\u201cIn this negotiation, government directly has no place. The Ghana Medical Association needs to be negotiating with the Ghana Health Service, which is the employer,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Mr. Aboloso added that \u201cIf we will recognize that we need to operate in accordance with the law, then in my considered opinion, government should withdraw and let Ghana Health Service take its place in the negotiations.\u201d<\/p>\n He further suggested that the health service should play its rightful role for negotiations<\/a><\/strong><\/span> to go forward.<\/p>\n Minister of health, Alex Segbefia on Tuesday\u00a0asked heads of the various public hospitals to submit names of all doctors who failed to report to work on Wednesday,August 19, 2015.<\/p>\n
