The Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC) has chastised the West African Examination Council (WAEC) for failing to properly supervise the Basic Education and Certificate Examinations (BECE) and West African Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE).<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, WAEC announced that over a thousand candidates had their subject results cancelled and close to five hundred candidates had their entire results cancelled. This comes weeks after a leakage and subsequent cancellation of some papers in the just ended BECE.<\/p>\n
The Council Chairman of GNECC, Bright Appiah told Citi News<\/strong>\u00a0that there is the need to prosecute WAEC officials who are found culpable in the malpractices.<\/p>\n \u201cThe system is weak because the leakage level shows that there are people in the system who are making these papers available.
