{"id":143085,"date":"2015-08-13T15:05:42","date_gmt":"2015-08-13T15:05:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=143085"},"modified":"2015-08-13T15:14:36","modified_gmt":"2015-08-13T15:14:36","slug":"gma-strike-retired-doctors-willing-to-return-police-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/08\/gma-strike-retired-doctors-willing-to-return-police-hospital\/","title":{"rendered":"GMA strike: Retired doctors willing to return \u2013 Police Hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Government\u2019s plan to recall retired doctors to fill the current gap created by the absence of the striking doctors seems to be yielding some results.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;3gdlGARBQ2Cni5RCJtYSYc0KnRZeOtNv&#8221;]The Police hospital has received some offers by some retired doctors who are willing to return to work to help save the situation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The hospital has recorded an increase in the number of patients due to the ongoing doctors\u2019 strike.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During a tour of the hospital, some patients who spoke to <strong>Citi News<\/strong> said the situation is delaying healthcare delivery at the hospital.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meanwhile, Police hospital Public Relations Officer (PRO), Corporal Faustina Afia Nunukpeku\u00a0told <strong>Citi News<\/strong> that measures have been put in place to address the situation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Corporal Nunukpeku confirmed that hospital have received some offers from some retired health professionals who are willing to return to work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cBefore the strike, we had six doctors but currently we\u2019ve had three more, making them six.
