A total of GH\u00a22.7 million have been\u00a0disbursed to 107 shortlisted young men and women under the Youth Enterprise Support (YES) program, President John Mahama has said at a ceremony on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n President Mahama had prior to the programme stated that \u201cThey [beneficiaries] had gone through training, they\u2019ve gone through orientation, their business ideas have been vetted, they\u2019ve walked through them to make sure they are feasible, and so the capital bit, which is granting the financing is not at the beginning, it\u2019s rather at the right point of establishing the business.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n He added that the YES programme will start receiving applications for the second batch of beneficiaries soon.<\/p>\n \u00a0\u201cWe will take more people in, and so those who did\u00a0 not get selected in the first batch should not be discouraged, they should think through their business ideas again and they can resubmit and walk through the process and if they are selected they will be funded,\u201d the President assured.<\/p>\n
