{"id":142586,"date":"2015-08-12T06:00:41","date_gmt":"2015-08-12T06:00:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=142586"},"modified":"2015-08-12T06:08:20","modified_gmt":"2015-08-12T06:08:20","slug":"we-wont-change-postings-on-health-grounds-nss","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/08\/we-wont-change-postings-on-health-grounds-nss\/","title":{"rendered":"We won&#8217;t change postings on health grounds &#8211; NSS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The National\u00a0Service Scheme has issued a stern warning that it will no longer consider requests from\u00a0service personnel for change of postings on health grounds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;U93UNqcYLHlmgWdu6LaiMIfC9QKSHLur&#8221;]According to a statement signed by the Acting Executive\u00a0Director, Dr. Michael Kpessa-Whyte, management is\u00a0overwhelmed by the seeming abuse of requests for change of\u00a0postings based on one health condition or the other, which has\u00a0now become the norm, even though such service personnel did\u00a0not indicate on their enrolment forms prior to the postings that\u00a0they had such ill-health conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the statement, it has been observed that it\u00a0was only after postings were released that some service<br \/>\npersonnel, in their bid to refuse postings, began obtaining letters\u00a0from medical facilities on claims of one type of sickness or the\u00a0other.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The statement emphasizes, that, service personnel who\u00a0have health challenges which might hamper their ability to do\u00a0the service this year have the right and are encouraged to defer\u00a0their national service to next year, in order to properly take care\u00a0of their health conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The statement reiterated that registration will close on\u00a0Tuesday, 25th August, 2015 and therefore urges all service<br \/>\npersonnel who have been deployed, to go through the process\u00a0of registration and get themselves ready to begin their service\u00a0from Tuesday, 1st September, 2015.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Credit: NSS<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National\u00a0Service Scheme has issued a stern warning that it will no longer consider requests from\u00a0service personnel for change of postings on health grounds.
