Ghanaians may soon experience some break from the load-shedding exercise as the power generation companies adds to more power to the national grid.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”lNuLJ6jtnepMcnARxhPFXEMDtg1Yxr0S”]This is as a result of \u00a0300 megawatts of power the generated by the Takoradi International Company (TICO) which has been added to the national grid system.<\/p>\n

The nation has been experiencing severe power crisis because of power generation deficit by the company and others.<\/p>\n

Speaking at a forum in Takoradi, the Managing Director for TICO, Nana Osafo Adjei Kantanka said it has put in place adequate measures to ensure that TICO works to at full capacity.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we speak, Takoradi International Company is generating over 300 MW of electrical power. This is coming from our two combusting turbines and generators, each one of them that is rated at 110 MW and our new steam turbine and generator which his currently undergoing what we call the final commissioning stages.\u201d<\/p>\n

Managers of the TICO plant in the Aboadze Thermal Enclave in March announced that they would produce of a total of 330MW of power from their combined turbines.<\/p>\n
