President John Dramani Mahama\u00a0joined the people of Ada to celebrate the annual Asafotufiami festival.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n Asafotufiami festival, means firing of muskets \u00a0and it is celebrated annually to mark the heroic performance of the ancestors of the people of Ada to safeguard their lands and property from their enemies.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n President John Dramani Mahama speaking at the festival said government has allocated a total of GH\u00a2 27 million for the asphalting of the Kasseh-Ada road in the Greater Accra Region.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n President Mahama said roads are essential to development and his administration would continue to pursue the road construction agenda to create more opportunities for Ghanaians.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n On salt production in the Ada-Songhor area, President Mahama said there is the need to develop modern efficient technology to produce good quality salt that could compete favourable in the global market.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n The establishment of the factory, he said would also employ many more youth and reduce the migration of the youth from rural to urban areas for non-existent jobs.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n
