An elderly woman used an unconventional self-defence technique to ward off an assailant while walking her dog in Cheltenham.<\/p>\n
The woman fended off her attacker by squeezing his testicles after he accousted her in an unprovoked assault at 11:30am on Monday.<\/p>\n
According to the woman, the man stomped out of a wooded area shouting \u201cget off my land\u201d and hit her in the mouth, leaving her with bruising and a small cut.<\/p>\n
The victim said she immediately grabbed the man by his testicles causing him to fall to the ground.<\/p>\n
She then calmly walked away in the opposite direction without looking back.<\/p>\n
The man, who was wearing blue jeans, a dark jacket and a navy baseball cap, is described as white, between 25-35 years old, of slim build and has dark hair.<\/p>\n
The woman described him as suntanned and said that he spoke with a \u201cyoung voice\u201d.<\/p>\n
A Gloucestershire police spokesman said: \u201cClearly this was an unusual method of self-defence and the attacker got more than he bargained for.\u201d<\/p>\n
“It would have been a terrible experience for a person of any age.”<\/p>\n
Officers are appealing for information about the incident which occurred near to an old airfield in the village of Stoke Orchard. They are urging anyone with information to come forward and call 101.<\/p>\n
