The Convention People\u2019s Party (CPP) and the People\u2019s National Convention (PNC) are exploring possibilities to hold a concurrent national delegates congress to elect national officers.<\/p>\n
The CPP, the initiator of the move, has, therefore sent a proposal to the PNC for consideration of a possible month and date for the concurrent congress, a source told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview in Accra.<\/p>\n

Concurrent congresses<\/strong> The concurrent congress is part of a grand scheme being adopted towards the eventual merger of the two major Nkrumahist parties.<\/p>\n The two Nkrumahist parties have been negotiating behind the scenes over the past years to form a united Nkrumahist front.<\/p>\n
\nInformation gathered within the parties by the GNA indicated that the concurrent congress would explore the possibilities of electing national leaders, and jointly electing interim co-executives.<\/p>\n
