Soccer fans will have yet another season of pulsating action to savour as the 2015\/2016 Barclays English Premiership returns with live commentary on Citi FM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The coverage of the EPL is a collaboration between Citi Fm , talkSPORT and the Premier League.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Joining the Citi Sports<\/strong> team on the Citi Breakfast show<\/strong> to officially launch the upcoming season the British High Commissioner to Ghana, His Excellency John Benjamin stated that the Premiership is the most competitive and globalized league in the world, thus its appeal.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n “This is the only league where on a any given day the bottom placed team are capable of beating the team sitting on top of the table,”\u00a0he said.<\/p>\n “Its more international as well because you can point at the Ghanaian players that have arrived in the league as an example but the Ghanaians are one of a group of 40 or 50 nationalities which are represented in one way or form, there are Nigerian players,Senegalese and Togolese players as well as others in the West African region.”<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n His comments emphasize the level of competitiveness that will characterize this season’s league as the various clubs have reinforced in a a bid to improve on their previous campaigns.<\/p>\n Manchester United have added celebrated German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger to their ranks while Liverpool signed Christian Benteke from Aston Villa to help turn their fortunes around.<\/p>\n Citi Fm<\/strong> are the only station in Ghana who are entitled to broadcast live commentary of the English Premier league.<\/p>\n As part of the package Citi Fm will also broadcast live FA Cup matches as well as the Capital One Cup.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n In marking the opening day a roadshow will see the sports crew move the studio to the Cellsbridge Pub at Labone where fans can enjoy the curtain raiser between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur at midday.<\/p>\n
