{"id":141462,"date":"2015-08-07T08:40:30","date_gmt":"2015-08-07T08:40:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=141462"},"modified":"2015-08-07T08:40:30","modified_gmt":"2015-08-07T08:40:30","slug":"ndc-executives-pepper-sprayed-by-dce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/08\/ndc-executives-pepper-sprayed-by-dce\/","title":{"rendered":"NDC executives pepper sprayed by DCE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There was uneasy calm at the Kwahu South District Assembly on Thursday as Police took over the assembly to protect the District Chief Executive for the area, Joseph Omari, from being lynched by some irate executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The reaction of the executives followed the spraying of pepper into the eyes of three of them who had thronged the office of the DCE to enquire about a working visit of the Eastern regional minister, Antwi Bosiako-Sekyere, to the constituency.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;gYP2bZACSUP0lZrcxnmOgsOtliPpz4Uh&#8221;]The constituency organizer and the chairman have reported the matter to the Mpraeso police station. Police medical forms have been issued to the three affected persons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The angry party executives started to vandalize the DCE\u2019s office after suspecting him to be behind the attack when confusion ensued leading to heavy security presence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The DCE and his constituency branch executives have not been in good terms for years now, a situation which is affecting development in the area.
