{"id":141300,"date":"2015-08-06T18:45:47","date_gmt":"2015-08-06T18:45:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=141300"},"modified":"2015-08-06T18:45:47","modified_gmt":"2015-08-06T18:45:47","slug":"pass-law-to-force-governments-to-use-devt-plan-labour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/08\/pass-law-to-force-governments-to-use-devt-plan-labour\/","title":{"rendered":"Pass law to force governments to use dev\u2019t plan \u00a0\u2013 Labour \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Ghana Federation of Labour has said the <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/08\/04\/national-devt-plan-must-devise-strategy-to-boost-growth-mahama\/\" target=\"_blank\">40-year National Development Plan<\/a><\/strong> <\/span>will not benefit of Ghana unless it is fully understood and implemented.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;jdoHTmZdXnAWKGpdGuCbzhlBO1XdWyHj&#8221;]According to the General Secretary of the Federation, Abraham Koomson, such development plans were dropped soon as a new government is elected into office.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The preparation for the plan which was launched a few days ago in Accra is deemed bi-partisan and is expected to serve as a guide to shape Ghana`s development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking to <strong>Citi News<\/strong> on how the plan can be fully implemented, Abraham Koomson suggested that there should be a law that will compel governments to strictly adhere to the blue print.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNkramah did a 20-year plan was not continued&#8230; these thing are nice, the talk show will go on but the implementation and the consistency of the implementation is another thing. Today, government A is there, tomorrow government B will come and this whole thing will change.\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He insisted that for the plan to be effective, government must \u201cput measures in place where any party that come to power will be obliged or compelled to carry on and follow what the predecessors have left off.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cOtherwise it will be like Nkrumah\u2019s development plan that he started. In Africa we have a big problem trying to enforce some of these things so it\u2019s nice that they have done it but I don\u2019t know whether it will be followed by government that come and go,\u201d Abraham Koomson noted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By: Godwin A.
