In my honest view, it is not attributable to the particular factor that the opposition is relating it to, but we will wither the storm,\u201d Haruna Iddrisu added on <strong>Eyewitness News<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/08\/03\/call-off-the-illegal-strike-now-govt-to-doctors\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Doctors<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, pharmacists and until yesterday, <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/08\/03\/psychiatric-nurses-in-accra-declare-sit-down-strike\/\" target=\"_blank\">psychiatric nurses<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, were on strike to demand better working conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The NPP during a press conference blamed government for the industrial strikes that could lead to the collapse of the health sector while calling for <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/08\/04\/npp-hits-out-at-govt-appeals-to-striking-health-workers\/\" target=\"_blank\">expedite action to resolve the issues<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The General Secretary of the NPP, Kwabena Agyepong said \u201cthe blame for the current spate of industrial strikes lies squarely with the government and not the workers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe government has proven to be very insensitive to the plight of workers and shown bad faith in negotiating with workers. This latest example of leadership paralysis plaguing this country has been made manifest in the strike actions being embarked on by almost every aspect of the public health sector.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe public health sector is one of the most important pillars of our national development. Clearly the unprofessional manner in which government appointees and surrogates are handling this sensitive issue leaves much to be desired. Their penchants to ruin insults and ruin innuendos only serve to heighten tensions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But Haruna Iddrisu explained that \u201cindustrial disputes are inevitable, there would always be grievances that\u2019s why every entity both private and public have grievances procedure because you anticipate that it will endanger conflict.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cSo it\u2019s for those who don\u2019t understand the concept theory and principle of human relations and human resource management who will be surprise at this development. There would always be demand; there would always be interest at play.\u00a0 Labour in many respects may genuinely and legitimately be looking for improvement in their conditions of work but there are also legitimate and genuine reasons that government is unable to meet the demand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By: Godwin A.
