The registration exercise gives only those who are 18 and above the power to register but the party\u2019s General Secretary recalled that in the lead up to the 2012, \u201cthe Electoral Commission (EC) published in the newspapers the photos of under-aged people who were on the register and continue to be on the register.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThere were clearly under-aged people who were in the register in 2012 and who are still in the register.\u201d<\/p>\n
However Ofosu Ampofo who disagrees with Agyepong said every political party has been involved in the scrutiny of the 2016’s voters register and said that is the most credible voters register he has ever seen.<\/span><\/p>\nHe was addressing NDC youth organizers and their deputies from all the 47 constituencies in the Ashanti region at a 3-day capacity building workshop on the theme : “empowering the youth wing for a successful implementation of Operation 1 million votes in election 2016″\u00a0 in their bid to ensure 1 million votes from the Ashanti region come December 2016.”<\/p>\n
