The general prices of foodstuffs in many of the major markets across the country dropped marginally, in the last one week.<\/p>\n
In the last week of trading in the month of July, the price of tomatoes dipped by 3 percent, closing the week at an average price of GHS 10.60 pesewas.<\/p>\n
A \u201cmedium size tomato tin\u201d full of fresh tomatoes went for GHS 10.50 in Accra losing 4 percent, according to research by Esoko Ghana.<\/p>\n
In Kumasi and Takoradi it lost 6 and 9 percentage points to close the week at GHS 5.20 and GHS 19.80 respectively.<\/p>\n
Maize prices remained stable in most of the markets. An olunka of maize went up by 14 percent to close the week at GHS 5.20.<\/p>\n
