Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Kwesi Amissah Arthur has reiterated the need to review Ghana`s educational curriculum to include Information Communication and Technology (ICT) modules to produce skilled personnel for the emerging ICT sector.<\/p>\n
At the opening ceremony of the Africa Mobile and ICT Expo 2015 in Accra on Thursday, Mr. Arthur explained that Ghana\u2019s emerging economy will need personnel with the requisite ICT skills to manage the various sectors of the economy.<\/p>\n
\u201cCrucially, we must ensure that our education system provides our students with the skills for matching the pace of development in order to make them relevant for the job market and the many opportunities in the IT sector,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He reiterated the importance of the mobile phone and held that since its progress could not be halted, it needs to be embraced.<\/p>\n
