{"id":138924,"date":"2015-07-29T16:39:00","date_gmt":"2015-07-29T16:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=138924"},"modified":"2015-07-30T14:11:52","modified_gmt":"2015-07-30T14:11:52","slug":"subah-to-train-over-1000-ghanaian-youth-in-ict","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/07\/subah-to-train-over-1000-ghanaian-youth-in-ict\/","title":{"rendered":"Subah to train over 1,000 Ghanaian youth in ICT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A leading IT company in Ghana, Subah Info Solutions has announced that it will soon roll out some training modules to equip over 1,000 youth in the country with employable skills.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Managing Director of the company, Birendra Sasmal hinted this in an interview with <strong>Citi News<\/strong> at the launch of the Africa Mobile &amp; ICT Expo (MOBEX) in Accra on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Birendra Sasmal explained that Ghana\u2019s emerging economy will need personnel with the requisite ICT skills to manage the various sectors of the economy hence their decision.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" size-full wp-image-138937 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/mobex-2015-8.jpg\" alt=\"mobex 2015 (8)\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/mobex-2015-8.jpg 600w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/mobex-2015-8-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that Subah is also working in collaboration with basic and secondary schools across the country to roll out the ICT training modules.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI see Ghana as a bit deficient in ICT but there are a lot of potentials that could make Ghana become a West African hub because a lot of the youth are passionate about ICT. All these applications from Subah are being designed by local Ghanaian people and they have been trained from US, India, Germany and so many other places. This year, our aim is to upgrade that institute to much level so that college students can come and learn modern basics in ICT.
