Voting has begun in some constituencies to elect Parliamentary candidates for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2016 elections.\"IMG-20150725-WA0024\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The constituencies voting today are Tema West, Tema Central, Obom Domeabra, Klotter Korle as well as \u00a0Kintampo North in the Brong Ahafo Region , Juabeng in the\u00a0Ashanti Region and Kwesi Mintim in the Western Region.<\/p>\n

The party held its primaries in various constituencies but the above mentioned ones were exempted because of some outstanding issues.<\/p>\n

The party’s Appeals Committee, after settling these cases<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>however resolved to hold the elections in these constituencies.<\/p>\n

Primaries in 7 other constituencies suspended\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

In another development, the leadership of the NPP \u00a0has in a statement reminded its members<\/a><\/strong><\/span> that due to pending court cases, parliamentary primaries in seven constituencies have been suspended.<\/p>\n

The affected areas are; Ablekuma West, Okaikoi South, Manhyia North, Krowor, Kumawu, Akontombra and Ho Central.<\/p>\n

The statement signed by the NPP General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong stated that per a ruling of the High Court of justice in Agona Swedru on the recent parliamentary primaries in the Gomoa East constituency, there will be run-off of the parliamentary primary on Saturday, July 25th 2015.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, he said the party is exercising its best endeavours to resolve all matters through internal processes.<\/p>\n
