Parliament on Friday tampered justice with mercy and pardoned former Hitz FM presenter Blakk Rasta after he alleged that about 80% of the Members smoke Marijuana (Wee).<\/p>\n
On Friday the Privileges Committee hauled him\u00a0to\u00a0the Bar of Parliament and asked him to apologise again infront of the whole House, even though he had earlier apologised to the MPs.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”0Bwa5bQbe5WH72UfGVZ35ijQkFI7dOGj”]After his apology, the Speaker of Parliament Edward Doe Adjaho asked Blakk Rasta to \u201cgo and sin no more,\u201d saying “we shall be watching you.”<\/p>\n
Prior to his pardon several other MPs including Majority Leader, Alban Bagbin and Minority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu asked the House to accept Blakk Rasta\u2019s apology.<\/p>\n
The Minority Leader Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu welcomed the apology saying he has been persuaded by Blakk Rasta\u2019s “body language.”<\/p>\n
\u201cIf he is sincere and genuine with what he is telling us, from now on we\u2019ll all be watching and as the good book says by their fruits we shall know them” the Suame MP said.<\/p>\n
How the story unfolded:<\/strong><\/p>\n June 18, 2015:<\/strong> Parliament summons Blakk Rasta<\/a><\/strong><\/span> for alleging that about 80% or more of Ghana\u2019s legislators \u201cmight have used marijuana before or are using it.\u201d<\/p>\n June 22, 2015<\/strong>: Parliament officially invites Blakk\u00a0Rasta<\/a><\/strong><\/span> in a letter\u00a0signed by Ebenezer Ahumah Djietotror, Principal Assistant Clerk of the Privileges Committee.<\/p>\n
