The Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) insists that the NPP\u2019s current challenges are only temporary\u00a0 and that the party will overcome them to reclaim power in 2016.<\/p>\n
The NPP has recently made the headlines for a number of incidents which indicate divisions within the party, the most unfortunate being the murder of the party\u2019s Upper East regional Chairman Adam Mahama.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”qisnQK9HHsowP7YLApV8Mpm453E8faMP”]The incident sparked turmoil in the party with several members calling for the ousting of the National Chairman Paul Afoko \u2013 whose brother is being held in connection with the murder \u2013 and General Secretary Kwabena \u00a0Agyepong.<\/p>\n
The squabbles which have characterised the party\u2019s parliamentary primaries have been a constant\u00a0 worry, \u00a0with voting\u00a0 in some of the constituencies put on hold indefinitely.<\/p>\n
