{"id":135568,"date":"2015-07-18T06:05:46","date_gmt":"2015-07-18T06:05:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=135568"},"modified":"2015-07-17T18:28:23","modified_gmt":"2015-07-17T18:28:23","slug":"135568","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/07\/135568\/","title":{"rendered":"Christian Council wishes Muslims happy Eid-ul-Fitr"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Christian Council of Ghana (CCG) has congratulated her fellow Muslim brothers and sisters for successfully observing this year\u2019s Ramadan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ramadan is always a time where Muslims attain nearness and closeness to God so that He becomes a reality in their lives as they bear the rigours of fasting for the sake of following a Divine commandment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;xGdTLIxD9W9YMbmrBERGlytZDydccyLr&#8221;]In a statement signed by the General Secretary of CCG, Rev. Dr. Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong, \u201cWe are of the strong conviction that, the many sacred practices such as fasting, praying and almsgiving exhibited in the month of Ramadan are yielding the desired spiritual and physical results in their personal lives, and that of our beloved nation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Council further commended the leadership of the various Muslim communities in Ghana for their relentless commitment and contributions towards religious harmony, peace and nation building.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAs a Council, we will continue to work closely with our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters to promote interfaith harmony, peace and development.
