The Interior Minister Mark Woyongo has jumped to the defence of vigilante groups, Azorka boys and Bolga Bulldogs who were involved in the Talensi clashes, describing their actions as a pure case of\u00a0\u201cviolence begets violence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Violent clashes left several political figures injured while properties were also destroyed after some members of the two main political parties attacked each other.<\/p>\n

The First Vice Chairperson of the NPP, Freddie Blay was also attacked in the process.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the development, the Minister explained that violence from one political party sparked reprisal attacks staged by boys from Azorka\u2019s camp.<\/p>\n

My boys were not armed – Azorka\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a related development,Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Northern Region Chief Sofo Azorka has said his supporters\u00a0were not violent<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>during the election<\/p>\n

Speaking to Citi News, Azorka explained that the only thing his men did was to prevent the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from sharing money to induce voters during the election.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn the election day, the NPP went round sharing money to voters and we said we will not allow people to share money like that and because they [NPP] did not get the chance to share money they are angry and want to spoil our name,\u201dhe explained.<\/p>\n
