A Kumasi Circuit Court has sentenced two Cameroonian nationals to three years imprisonment each with hard labour for stealing.<\/p>\n
The two stole scratch cards and mobile phones all valued at GH\u00a228,337.00, belonging to MTN, Ghana.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”9I9CYTIInHuGWfUcRDi6pL9v24ZgXH1X”]The convicts known in Court documents as Emmanuel Akohni Chinwe, 25 and Jonathan Fomusah Ndifor, 22, both unemployed, who arrived in the country this April, denied the charges of unlawful entry, stealing and causing damage.<\/p>\n
Prosecution told the court, presided over by Madam Comfort Tasiame that, the two, took advantage of the absence of a security man, broke into the mobile communication office at Susuanso in Kumasi on\u00a0May 11 and stole cash, mobile phones and scratch cards.<\/p>\n
Chinwe and Ndifor later settled at Kotei Deduako in Kumasi but were arrested by the Police on May 22.<\/p>\n
During Police investigations, a search was conducted at their residence and a quantity of the scratch cards, three Samsung mobile phones and two power banks were found in their possession.<\/p>\n
In their caution statement, Chinwe and Ndifor admitted the offences and they were charged.<\/p>\n
