President John Mahama has officially sworn in Justice Yaw Apau and Gabriel Pwamang as Supreme Court judges.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n Mr. Pwamang was a politician and member of the People’s National Convention (PNC) while Yaw Apau was a Sole Commissioner of the Judgment Debt Commission.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Though the two had been vetted by Parliament\u2019s Appointment Committee, the nomination of Pwamang was earlier challenged by madama Eva Oboshie Sai at the General Legal Council.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Woode subsequently formed a Disciplinary Committee to investigate the matter.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n He was later cleared after the Committtee<\/a><\/strong><\/span> established that the said complaint against Mr. Pwamang “has been withdrawn by the complainant.”<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n By: Marian Efe Ansah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana
