{"id":128414,"date":"2015-06-26T06:22:18","date_gmt":"2015-06-26T06:22:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=128414"},"modified":"2015-06-26T06:42:25","modified_gmt":"2015-06-26T06:42:25","slug":"father-kills-2-month-old-son","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/06\/father-kills-2-month-old-son\/","title":{"rendered":"Father kills 2-month-old son"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Stephen Kyere, 34, a teacher at Tekese Junior High School at Drobo in the Jaman South District of Brong-Ahafo Region, has been arrested and remanded in Police custody for killing his two month-old baby boy.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;wJJnLlBTT3WbyWnZqVNN7ZISMispG69O&#8221;]Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Christopher Tawiah, Regional Police Public Relations Officer, briefing the press on Wednesday in Sunyani, said the suspect, besides living with his wife, was also dating one Mariam Takyiwaaa, mother of the deceased.<\/p>\n<p>Takyiwaaa went to Kyere to demand the child\u2019s health insurance renewal fees but he refused to give her the money and this resulted in a quarrel between the two.<\/p>\n<p>In the process, the suspect snatched the baby, Anaase Agyemang, from the\u00a0 Takyiwaa and hit his head on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>ASP Tawiah said the mother\u2019s shouts for help attracted neighbours but\u00a0the suspect sensing danger fled.<\/p>\n<p>The Assemblyman of Tekese, Clement Adjei reported the matter to the Police which led to suspect\u2019s arrest.<\/p>\n<p>He said Kyere is in Police custody in Sunyani for further investigations whilst the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Saint Mary\u2019s Catholic Hospital at Drobo, pending autopsy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source: GNA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stephen Kyere, 34, a teacher at Tekese Junior High School at Drobo in the Jaman South District of Brong-Ahafo Region, has been arrested and remanded in Police custody for killing his two month-old baby boy.
