{"id":126691,"date":"2015-06-20T15:13:48","date_gmt":"2015-06-20T15:13:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=126691"},"modified":"2015-06-20T15:14:40","modified_gmt":"2015-06-20T15:14:40","slug":"bird-flu-3600-birds-destroyed-at-denu-and-keta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/06\/bird-flu-3600-birds-destroyed-at-denu-and-keta\/","title":{"rendered":"Bird flu: 3,600 birds destroyed at Denu and Keta"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"itemIntroText\">\n<p>Two poultry farms with a total of 3,600 birds at Denu and Keta in the Volta Region have been destroyed due to infection of the farms with Avian flu.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"itemFullText\">\n<p>The poultry farm at Keta started with 1,800 but before it came to the notice of veterinary officers 1,100 had died and 700 had also died at Denu within three days.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;3fAbks25MDa3f51Oufv64feM2rJb1qQA&#8221;]The Volta Regional Veterinary Officer, Dr Mark Kofi Tettey who disclosed this to Tim Dzamboe,\u00a0Graphic Online&#8217;s Volta Regional Correspondent, said the two farms had 1800 birds each.<\/p>\n<p>He said all the birds have been destroyed together with eggs.
