The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Board has terminated with immediate effect, the\u00a0appointment of some of its employees due to what it described as “gross incompetence and dereliction of duty in the\u00a0management and day-to-day operations” of its pharmacy.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”dJSugVnKlGWOqULHtL74YweJ826Jc0zo”]Following a forensic audit commissioned by the Ministry of Health in 2014 which established They are\u00a0Elizabeth Bruce, Director of Pharmacy and also Director of 24-Hour Pharmacy,\u00a0Eric Kwaku Kyei, Principal Pharmacist\/ Pharmacy Manager,\u00a0Augustina Dankyi, Pharmacy Accountant and\u00a0Daniel Eledi, Stores Assistant.<\/p>\n The board thus, convened an emergency meeting on Wednesday June 17, 2015 and\u00a0decided to terminate the appointment of the four individuals.<\/p>\n The board, in a statement indicated that its “decision is without prejudice to the ongoing criminal investigations being carried out by the\u00a0Economic and Organised Crime Organisation in respect of the unaccounted for funds.”<\/p>\n The board further revealed that it had directed management to carry out relevant internal processes and procedures on all other operations of the hospital with the view of putting in place robust measures to forestall similar occurences in the future.<\/p>\n “The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Board wishes to inform the staff and all other stakeholders –<\/p>\n By: Marian Efe Ansah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana
