The Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly on Thursday demolished some buildings and structures in Aboabo- Asawasi in the Ashanti Region.<\/p>\n
The demolition has become necessary following \u00a0flooding in the area.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”SWWdKZxmT8CqxzELHqunQ9FqbKCQtkrl”]The area which is locally known as ‘Dagomba line’, is reportedly a flood prone area and poses health, environmental and security threat to residents in the community.<\/p>\n
The Municipal Chief Executive of the area , Nureeden Hamidan, told Citi News<\/strong> that the assembly did not only notify residents ahead of the demolition but has met them to discuss the need for demolition.<\/p>\n
