The\u00a0 Accra Metropolitan Assembly, AMA has demolished over 25 structures at Soldier Bar around the Iran Clinic at Obra Spot Station in \u00a0Circle, Accra.<\/p>\n
The structures include shops and offices belonging to the GPRTU, Circle Obra Spot branch.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n The exercise which started at about 9 am, saw the structures on the Soldier Bar section to the Nima Station section being pulled down.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n The operation was led by the Head of Operation at the AMA, Chief Joseph Okine.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n He explained to Citinews that, after an assessment by the AMA after\u00a0 last Wednesday`s flood, they decided that the structures be demolished to allow free flow of water into the main gutter at Asylum down.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Some traders who spoke to Citi News<\/strong> indicated that they were not given prior notice.<\/p>\n
