In what appears to be the latest killing related to the age long Nkonya Alavanyo conflict<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, a 68-year old sub chief of Nkonya Ahenkro, Nanai Obi Adiee has reportedly been shot dead on his farm.<\/p>\n

He was attacked on Monday morning.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”Q8PlaUHSAAgOE8NI3AtXuOoMo9xDPdKc”]Former Assemblyman of the Nkonya Ntonda, Mr Sylvester Akompi who narrated the incident to Citi News<\/strong> Gratham Mckintosh said; upon hearing, a gunshot they traced it to the farm of the chief adding that \u201cbefore they got there, they saw his lifeless body lying down.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said they quickly informed the Police about what had happened.<\/p>\n

The Hohoe Divisional crime office, ASP Edward Tetteh Otumi confirmed the incident to Citi News<\/strong>\u00a0and said they have already begun investigations.<\/p>\n

Several people have been killed<\/strong><\/a><\/span>\u00a0while others have lost their properties in a sixty-year-old protracted land dispute between the two feuding towns; Alavanyo and Nkonya.<\/p>\n

Government has hinted that it will soon take over the disputed land<\/a><\/strong><\/span> to maintain peace.<\/p>\n
