Twenty young men have been arrested by the Police in Accra for blocking some roads in Teshie-Nungua and its environs.<\/p>\n
The men are believed to have acted in solidarity with some commercial bus drivers who embarked on a protest earlier on Monday.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”UBdmxAHLfTtV4ujvZcjMxWFIsm9Yat2F”]Scores of passengers including school children were left stranded<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>this morning due to the strike declared by the drivers in Accra.<\/p>\n They were protesting aagainst a new policy by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) which requires that they, among other things be able to write the test in English language before being issued a drivers license.<\/p>\n Places which were hit hard by the strike include Ashaiman, Lapaz, Odorkor, Madina and Kasoa<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n
