{"id":121021,"date":"2015-06-01T12:53:21","date_gmt":"2015-06-01T12:53:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=121021"},"modified":"2015-06-01T12:53:21","modified_gmt":"2015-06-01T12:53:21","slug":"man-beats-wife-to-death-over-sex","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/06\/man-beats-wife-to-death-over-sex\/","title":{"rendered":"Man beats wife to death over sex"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Half Assini Police have arrested a 40-year-old palm wine tapper from Tadane in the Ellembele district, for beating his wife to death for denying him sex.<\/p>\n<p>The Jomoro District Police Commander, Superintendent John Furgeson Dzineku said the suspect, Emu Kwaw and the deceased, Madam Kaku Emma, have been in amorous relation for the past two years.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;w5kGDfxvBFJs2iVuwP6EFhhVyKYWEIVp&#8221;]Superintendent Dzineku said a misunderstanding ensued between the suspect and\u00a0the woman on May 26.<\/p>\n<p>According to Superintendent Dzineku, a\u00a0brother of Emma settled the matter the following day and the two passed the night at Samenye.<\/p>\n<p>He said during the night, Kwaw attempted to forcibly have sex with the woman who refused.<\/p>\n<p>Kwaw, therefore, subjected Madam Emma to severe beating and later held her throat to prevent her from raising alarm.<\/p>\n<p>Superintendent Dzineku said in the process, Emma became unconscious and died while she was being rushed to the Eikwe Catholic Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Her body has since been deposited at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital at the Sekondi morgue for autopsy, while Police investigations into the incident continue.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source: GNA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Half Assini Police have arrested a 40-year-old palm wine tapper from Tadane in the Ellembele district, for beating his wife to death for denying him sex.
