Sachet water producers have hinted of an increment in the price of the product from next week.<\/p>\n
The producers say the continuous depreciation of the cedi, the current energy crisis, high cost of utility bills, coupled with the recent upward adjustment in petroleum prices has necessitated the move.<\/p>\n

The chairman of the sachet water producers in the Ashanti Region, Cedrick Akwasi Baafi told Citi News,<\/strong> the rubber which they use in bagging the water is imported \u201cand because they are imported, anytime the cedi value goes down, the prices go up.\u201d<\/p>\n He however indicated that no definite decision has been made and the percentage at which the price will be increased is also yet to be determined.<\/p>\n \u201cWe haven\u2019t arrived at any conclusion. At the moment, it is at the initial stages so it\u2019s under consideration,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
