The Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) has stated the death of Upper East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Adam Mahama was politically motivated.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”zGGpvXoyX8Yzgz524ZRxdmCyKGbp8hXp”]They argued that the circumstances surrounding Adam Mahama`s death<\/a><\/strong><\/span> leaves much to be desired.<\/p>\n During a press briefing today in Accra today the Chairman of the PPP, Nii Allotey Brew-Hammond called on the party to reject what they say is \u201cinstitutionalization of violence\u201d with all seriousness.<\/p>\n \u201c<\/em>We condemn the act of barbarism and press home, the need for Ghanaians to be awake and vigilant to reject the institutionalization of violence in our body politic, which if allowed to continue would become a monster that would eat all of us up.\u201d<\/p>\n Adams Mahama was attacked by two men with acid<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and died later at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital where he was receiving treatment.<\/p>\n The Police are currently investigating the matter.<\/p>\n Chairman of the PPP, Brew-Hammond stated that the matter \u201cis a clear case of murder which should trigger the process of investigations, arrests, prosecution and punishment of the perpetrators to serve as a deterrent to others who might contemplate the commission of such crimes in future.\u201d<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n By: Godwin Akweiteh Allotey\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana
