The Electoral Commission (EC) has postponed the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting scheduled for Friday, May 22.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”C8JPutg4bE4vT0xObubBCJWAHboDqoj7″]The EC postponed the meeting following the murder of the Upper East Regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).<\/p>\n

Adam Mahama died on Thursday<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital after an acid attack<\/a><\/strong><\/span> on him on Wednesday night by some two persons.<\/p>\n

A statement signed by the Deputy EC chairman in charge of operations, Amadu Sulley said a new date will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n

He said the Commission \u201cdeeply regrets any inconvenience the postponement might cause.\u201d<\/p>\n

The IPAC was formed in March 1994 to bring together representatives of the various political parties on a monthly basis together with members of EC to discuss and and build a consensus on electoral issues.<\/p>\n
