The National Democratic Congress’ (NDC), Alhaji Halidu Haruna’s was whisked away to safety by the Police after some participants in the ongoing\u00a0‘Dumsor Vigil’ attempted beating him up.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”71CXGv9mX8ZWZWnevaoeIDy0n5V9KkUn”]The anger of the protestors stem from Haruna’s post on his Facebook page describing the female celebrities organizing the ‘dumsor vigil’ as prostitutes.<\/p>\n
According to Citi News’<\/strong>\u00a0Godwin Akweiteh Allotey, the “protesters hit him with sachet water and hooted at him upon his arrival.”<\/p>\n Security personnel who were present at the scene were compelled to whisk him away to\u00a0safety.<\/p>\n Alhaji Haruna was widely criticized for verbally assaulting the female celebrities on Social Media.<\/p>\n He subsequently apologized and retracted<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>his statement and told Citi News,<\/strong>\u00a0he wishes he never uttered those words.<\/p>\n
