<\/a>Comedian David Oscar who had recently been in the news for vilifying the organizers joined the protest.<\/p>\n Also, the\u00a0National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Alhaji Halidu Haruna who called the female\u00a0celebrities championing the event “as unmarried prostitutes” on his Facebook page attempted to join the group.<\/p>\n He was however whisked away by the Police after participants hooted and attempted to beat him up.<\/p>\n Lawyer for the celebrities, Kofi Bentil said the protest is a “revelation that people are indeed suffering from the power crisis.”<\/p>\n One of the main organizers, Sarkodie, could not attend the event because he is away in the United States.
