The former Youth National Organizer of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh also called Kabila has sued former Attorney General, Betty Mould Iddrisu over the payment of the controversial GH\u00a251 million judgment debt to business Alfred Agbesi Woyome.<\/p>\n
In his writ of summons, Kabila is seeking among other things “An order for payment of monies that have been wasted by the Defendants, owing to payment they caused to be made by the Government of Ghana to Woyome.”<\/p>\n

Ebo Barton Odro, Samuel Nerquaye-Tettey and Paul Asimenu have also been joined to the suit.<\/p>\n
Mr Woyome was paid GH\u00a251 million as judgment debt for a breach in the contract over the services he rendered the state ahead of the 2008 African Cup of Nations which was hosted by the nation.<\/p>\n
Woyome was arrested and arraigned before court on two counts of causing financial loss to the state and defrauding by false pretence.<\/p>\n
But he was on March 12, 2015 acquitted and discharged<\/a><\/strong><\/span> by the court.<\/p>\n The judge, Justice Ajet-Nasam said the state did a poor job on the case by failing to call key witnesses.<\/p>\n The judge reportedly cited the likes of Ebo Barton Oduro, Paul Assumaning, some of the Chief Directors of the Ministry of Justice who could have been made to testify but the state failed to present them in court.<\/p>\n
