During the time they are going to embark on their demonstration, the ban is in place. And they know, when people gather and they become a group, controlling them in terms of they not making noise becomes very difficult,&#8221;\u00a0Numoo Blafo said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is either they wait till after the ban has been lifted or maybe they can do it somewhere else, outside the jurisdiction of Accra,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>The organizers <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/05\/07\/police-approves-dumsor-vigil\/#sthash.OfiTReaT.dpbs\" target=\"_blank\">gained approval<\/a><\/strong><\/span> from the police to stage the vigil last week on condition that they do not upset the ban.<\/p>\n<p>ASP Afia Tenge said at the time: \u201cIt was a fruitful meeting, but we urged them to take into cognisance the law on the ban of drumining and noise making.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Planning for the vigil has been with the most recent being concerns about the original converging point following some opposition from <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/05\/08\/do-not-associate-us-with-dumsor-vigil-ug-to-celebrities\/#sthash.FMZTIyes.dpbs\" target=\"_blank\">authorities at the University of Ghana<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, however the organizers insist the vigil will <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/05\/08\/dumsor-vigil-to-come-off-as-planned-yvonne-nelson\/#sthash.yivHRRqZ.dpbs\" target=\"_blank\">go on as planned<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The vigil which is being spearheaded by award winning actress, Yvonne Nelson is aimed at pressure on government to urgently resolve the three-year energy crisis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8216;We are not cowards&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Defending the decision to embark on a protest, Yvonne Nelson said the fact that they are going on the streets to show how much they are willing to back what they say on social media<\/p>\n<p>She said: \u201cWe don\u2019t want to sound as cowards.
