{"id":114718,"date":"2015-05-09T09:00:50","date_gmt":"2015-05-09T09:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=114718"},"modified":"2015-05-09T11:35:20","modified_gmt":"2015-05-09T11:35:20","slug":"rosebella-thompson-tops-mbaasem-writing-contest-for-girls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/05\/rosebella-thompson-tops-mbaasem-writing-contest-for-girls\/","title":{"rendered":"Rosebella Thompson tops Mbaasem Writing Contest for Girls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mbaasem Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of the Mbaasem Writing Contest for Girls.<\/p>\n<p>The contest, which was open to girls enrolled in Senior High Schools in Ghana, ran from 3rd December 2014 to January 31st 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The winners will receive cash prizes of \u00a0ranging from GHC 400 to GHC 1000.<\/p>\n<p>The overall winner will take home GHC 1000 while the runner-up winner will receive GHC 700.<\/p>\n<p>The Third place winner will also receive GHC 400.<\/p>\n<p>Rosebella Thompson of Aburi Girls High School wins the first prize with for her story, \u201cThe Flute Does Matter too\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Second place goes to Damilola Johnson of Tema International School for \u00a0her story, \u201cDiary of a Chibok Girl\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The third place goes to Naa Shormeh Wilson of Wesley Girls\u2019 High School for her story \u201cAvenging Angel\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the cash prizes, the winners will be invited to participate in a writing bootcamp with other young writers.
