The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has given the green light for the \u2018dumsor vigil\u2019 to come off on May 16.<\/p>\n
The vigil which is being spearheaded by award winning actress, Yvonne Nelson is aimed at mounting pressure on government to urgently resolve the three-year energy crisis.<\/p>\n
The group was granted the permission after meeting with the Police on Thursday.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n Public Relations Officer of the Accra Regional Command,\u00a0ASP Afia Tenge in an interview with Citi News<\/strong> urged both leaders and participants of the vigil to abide by the stipulated rules.<\/p>\n ASP Afia Tenge said: \u201cIt was a fruitful meeting, but we urged them to take into cognisance the law on the ban of drumining and noise making.\u201d<\/p>\n
