He acknowledged that the energy situation is affecting businesses and households but added that if fixing the problem were an easy task, the President would have resolved by now.<\/p>\n
Some Ghanaian celebrities have taken to social media to express their displeasure about the power crisis and are planning to embark on a \u2018dumsor vigil\u2019<\/a><\/strong><\/span> to pressurize government to urgently tackle the problem.<\/p>\n They have however been criticized by a section of the general public including some members of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), and some persons in the entertainment industry as well.<\/p>\n Below is David Oscar\u2019s post on his Facebook page<\/strong><\/p>\n I’m not even gonna be hypocritical and join the\u00a0\u202a#\u200eDumsorMustStop\u00a0trend.<\/p>\n How many of us have tried to conserve energy? Thanks to our waste, the dams are suffering.<\/p>\n Don’t get me wrong, I’m a mindless critic of the president JDM, and I understand that there are alternative sources of energy, but do you think that if it was that easy to fix the power crisis, the president would not saved himself the blames and constant harassment?<\/p>\n As a nation, we happen to be fault seekers and less of vision implementers.<\/p>\n Dumsor must stop, but your constant whining and whimpering would not act as a magic wand.
