Some officials of the Police Service were implicated in the scam including the Service\u2019s Director-General in-charge of Human Resource, COP Patrick Timbilla<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n COP Timbilla and the other indicted officers were subsequently interdicted<\/p>\n About five civilians<\/strong><\/span><\/a> were also arrested in connection with the scam.<\/p>\n Months after their interdiction, questions are being\u00a0raised by many over the silence of the Police on the \u00a0case.<\/p>\n Speaking to Citi News<\/strong>, Director of Police Public Relations, Superintendent Cephas Arthur said the Police administration is bent on pursing the matter to its logical conclusion.<\/p>\n He stated that all the directives given to the administration by the Police Council have been duly followed after the special task force set up to investigate the matter came out with their findings.<\/p>\n The Police Council directed that the Police officers among them alleged suspects should remain on interdiction and must be taken through service enquiry which is an internal disciplinary action.<\/p>\n The Council also directed that their dockets should be quickly forwarded to the Attorney General\u2019s office for advice.<\/p>\n \u201cAll those things are on course. We are doing the service enquiry, the Police officers are still on interdiction and the Police administration has forwarded the docket to the Attorney General for advice,\u201d Supt.
