{"id":111928,"date":"2015-04-28T07:00:20","date_gmt":"2015-04-28T07:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=111928"},"modified":"2015-04-28T07:09:05","modified_gmt":"2015-04-28T07:09:05","slug":"france-to-help-ghana-improve-environment-using-technology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/04\/france-to-help-ghana-improve-environment-using-technology\/","title":{"rendered":"France to help Ghana improve environment using technology\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Mahama Ayariga has called for closer collaboration between Ghana and France to foster technology transfer between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;QTQ7V9sbHF2VlIQ8gMTon6erjKBNtoev&#8221;]The Minister explained that France`s support to the ministry will be valuable as France is well versed with technologies that will help Ghana improve her environmental conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Minister made the call on Monday in Accra when the French Ambassador to Ghana, Frederick Clavier paid a courtesy call on him ahead of the December Climate change summit in France.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Mahama Ayariga was very hopeful that technology transfer from France to Ghana will be of enormous benefit in Ghana`s quest to attain the desired global environmental conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking to <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, he said \u201c European nations are clearly more advanced. One of the key issues we discussed relating to science and technology is how we can transfer the right kind of scientific knowledge to developing countries like Ghana from very advance nations like France, United Kingdom and others to be able to accelerate own development.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Ayariga added that technology transfer is adopted in projects that are implemented between both the private sector of European Nations and the Government of Ghana.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAnd we live through our commitment to transfer technology by the end of these projects.
