Family of the 36-years-old farmer who was allegedly shot dead during curfew hours in the troubled Bunkprugu\/Yunyoo district is demanding justice from the Military high command.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”bz7Se615YgXkPSrt8N37meQsHpdZqD1c”]The deceased, Jabiuk Duut was shot dead in his room by Private Daniel Appiah of the 6 Battalion, Kamina Barracks in Tamale.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred at a farming community called Pagnatik, a suburb of Bunkprugu Township which is usually cut off during rainy season.<\/p>\n
The community lacks basic social amenities such as water, electricity, classroom-blocks, health centre and there is poor receptivity to communication networks there.<\/p>\n
The suspect has since being in the custody of the Military Police pending the outcome of investigations.<\/p>\n
The deceased uncle, Nelson Jatuat in an exclusive interview with Citi News<\/strong> at the scene narrated what happened, \u201cThey came and surrounded the house: the man and the wife were indoors and they started hitting the doors and succeeded in opening one of the rooms where the man\u2019s wife were there with the children.\u201d<\/p>\n
