{"id":111190,"date":"2015-04-24T15:20:46","date_gmt":"2015-04-24T15:20:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=111190"},"modified":"2015-04-24T16:49:37","modified_gmt":"2015-04-24T16:49:37","slug":"police-begin-withdrawal-of-personnel-from-agbogbloshie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/04\/police-begin-withdrawal-of-personnel-from-agbogbloshie\/","title":{"rendered":"Police begin withdrawal of personnel from Agbogbloshie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Accra Regional Police Command has begun withdrawing its men from the Agbogbloshie market days after ethnic tension heightened in the area.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;ayYsDxgqZDXKetjjJ9nidUl320JEEkXf&#8221;]The clashes which occurred between two ethnic groups last Tuesday led to the injury of three persons including a Police officer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0The clashes were triggered by open defecation by a four-year-old in\u00a0the area.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Two ethnic groups, \u00a0the Dagombas and Zamrama \u00a0fought over the refusal of the mother to clear the fecal matter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The violence left \u00a0two people injured.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hundreds of police officers were stationed there to restore order.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Accra Regional Police Commander DCOP Christian Tetteh-Yohuno told <strong>Citi News<\/strong> that opinion leaders in the area have reached an amicable settlement with all aggrieved parties.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cCalm having been restored, we will leave them to interact, and work together because they have assured us that now they are one people. Even now they are all going to pray in the same mosque. So for that matter we feel we have done our best so we must withdraw.
