Hiplife artiste, Kwaw Kese will today walk free after serving a day\u2019s jail sentence<\/strong><\/span><\/a> at the Kumasi prisons.<\/p>\n

Emmanuel Botchwey spent the night in prison yesterday after he was sentenced by a Kumasi High Court.<\/p>\n

The court ordered him to pay a fine of GHc1,200 or in default serve a three year sentence with hard labour.<\/p>\n

Kwaw Kese’s arrest<\/strong><\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”K7T7Ndl05tp7uKioHG0I3uxVgVqiy8XS”]Kwaw Kese was arrested by the Police in Kumasi on November 22, 2014.<\/p>\n

While on remand, he shuttled between jail and the hospital.<\/p>\n

He was then granted bail\u00a0<\/span>after the incident<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>even though the offence was a non-bailable one.<\/div>\n

He has since pleaded not guilty in the matter even though the prosecution said in one of the court appearances that medical tests\u00a0on the musician have revealed he had smoked the substance.<\/p>\n

He subsequently initiated\u00a0a campaign aimed at warning the youth against the use of narcortic drugs.<\/p>\n
