{"id":110654,"date":"2015-04-22T05:04:47","date_gmt":"2015-04-22T05:04:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=110654"},"modified":"2015-04-22T15:07:44","modified_gmt":"2015-04-22T15:07:44","slug":"vodafone-icons-winner-wins-female-vocalist-of-the-year-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/04\/vodafone-icons-winner-wins-female-vocalist-of-the-year-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Vodafone Icons winner wins Female Vocalist of the Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2012 Vodafone Icons winner,\u00a0Wiyaala, has taken her music career to a different level as she took away the most anticipated female award; \u201cFemale Vocalist of the Year\u201d, at this year\u2019s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards held at the Accra International Conference Center.<\/p>\n<p>Wiyaala is a known brand in Ghana\u2019s music industry after she won that enviable music reality show; Vodafone Icons three years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Wiyaala has remarkable additions to her catalogue of awards including: sweeping two desirable awards \u2013\u00a0\u2018Most Promising Artiste in Africa\u2019\u00a0and\u00a0\u2018Revelation of the African Continent\u2019\u00a0at the maiden edition of the \u2018All Africa\u00a0Music Awards\u2019 (AFRIMA) held in Lagos earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>Since winning the Vodafone Icons reality show in 2012, the young songstress from the Upper East Region has captured a series of awards and citations\u00a0including,\u00a0Face of Pepsi Ghana,\u00a0Converse All Stars Brand\u00a0Ambassador for Ghana, the Youth Achievers Award\u00a0of\u00a0the Upper West,\u00a0Female Personality of the Year\u00a0at the\u00a0Sissala Prestige Awards and\u00a0Music Ambassador\u00a0for the\u00a0Upper West region.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting,\u00a0Agnes Emefa Essah, Marketing Director at Vodafone Ghana, said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very excited to know that Wiyaala is progressing steadily in her music career. For us at Vodafone, we are proud to be a critical part of the realization of dreams for many musicians across the country.
