Jomoro Constituency Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are demanding the dismissal of the District Chief Executive (DCE), Sylvester Nuomah Daddieh from office.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”zkhM9aktthT49jUtG1aIPGf26mgdQnK5″]They are accusing him of being incompetent, a factionist and also for allegedly neglecting the executives of the party.<\/p>\n
The executives made the appeal after a peaceful demonstration at the premises of the District Assembly at Half Assini.<\/p>\n
The demonstrators clad in red arm and head bands,\u00a0 held placards the inscriptions on some of which read \u201cDCE should go, President Mahama, and Jomoro Youth fed up with DCE\u201d.<\/p>\n
They prevented the DCE from entering his office until some members of the District Security Council (DSEC) intervened and held an emergency closed-door meeting with them and the DCE at the Conference Hall of the Assembly Guest House.<\/p>\n
The outcome of the meeting was not made known to the public.<\/p>\n
Briefing newsmen after the meeting, the constituency chairman of the NDC, Mr Gideon Koniba, said the DCE had been attending programmes and functions without their involvement, and was also not funding the party.<\/p>\n
This, Mr Koniba said, had resulted in the grounding of the party\u2019s Propaganda Van.<\/p>\n
He said the DCE had not been feeding the executives with information on government programme and activities.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the press, the DCE denied all the allegations and described them as baseless and unfounded, adding that they were calculated attempts to tarnish his image.<\/p>\n
He appealed to the members to calm down in the interest of the party.<\/p>\n
Mr Daddieh later led newsmen to inspect some projects that had been undertaken during his tenure of office.<\/p>\n
Until his appointment, the DCE was\u00a0 in 2011, the Constituency Secretary and district NADMO Coordinator.<\/p>\n
